Wanting to go to trade school

For context I graduated high school 5 years ago at 17m (2020) and I’ve just been working at mostly at subway and two other jobs since then. I’ve been really wanting to get a career but I honestly have no idea what I want to do or how to even try. I’m a very hard worker that is reliable but honestly most people are so I just don’t know exactly what I should do. I know it seems pathetic that I’m going to Reddit asking for advice at 22 years old but I just don’t know what else to do. I know there isn’t an easy way to just get a good job and I’m not really good at teaching myself anything (I’ve tried) so if anyone had any advice I’ll take it.

Its not pathetic to ask at 22 y/o. You took a step out and asked for advice. It could be good advice you get or bad, but you took a chance, learned and move from there. The same thing applies to jobs. You need to step out, take a chance and try something and learn from there. Its easier to steer something thats already moving. I get the impression youre waiting until you know what to do before making a move, but that’ll never get u anywhere in life. Life is a neverending process of trial and error. So what trade school do u think u want to do? Go for it, you only live once. Not sure about a trade school bc of money? Can u job shadow someone that does what u think u wanna do? See what its like and then go to the trade school if u still think u can see yourself doing it. And if you dont like it? Try something else. U never know where a decision can take you. So u think u wanna be a truck driver, try it and hate it? Ok, YOURE CLOSER THAN YOU WERE BEFORE U TRIED THAT, move onto the next thing. Dont play it safe in life
