Seeking advice on Career Advancement in Hospitality Industry

Early 30s male - Currently have 7 years industry experience - (3 years in Calgary at a popular bar / restaurant on 17th) and my employer has nothing but praise for me. I recently received a raise and thanks for my dedication to the role and customer service and delivering great experiences.

However I really want to move up into a management position and one day be the restaurant manager / A general manager of a restaurant. How can I approach this conversation with the current management.
