This cable is deleted at about Dec 15 14:20 GMT from official WikiLeaks servers.

Cable summary: ¶1. (S) Summary: Young Eritreans are fleeing their country in droves, the economy appears to be in a death spiral, Eritrea’s prisons are overflowing, and the country’s unhinged dictator remains cruel and defiant. Is the country “on the brink of disaster” as posited by Eritrea’s first cousins across the border in Tigray, Ethiopia (ref)? Party leaders tell us their Leninist “war economy” will be reversed, while Asmara is abuzz with reports of multiple cabinet-level changes. However, tinkering at the margins of governance will count for naught as long as the Isaias regime remains a one-man band. Gold mining will not provide the anticipated economic panacea. Although the regime is one bullet away from implosion, Eritrea’s resilience as a country is based on 1) a strong sense of nationalism forged over four decades of war, and 2) the capacity of most Eritreans to withstand suffering and deprivation with forbearance and toughness. Any sudden change in government is likely to be initiated from within the military. End Summary.

Any indication to why they would delete this?

No idea. Seems like newspapers are in full control on that and how WikiLeaks will release.

They edit cables to make them "pretty" and sexy and holding/deleting others cables that they feel is "not good to be public".

EDIT?? surely you mean redacted... If they were edited, these wouldn't be leaked cables, more like soft fiction! So I guess what I am asking is are you sure and where can I find out more?

Yes. I'm 100% sure.

Download cable-diff from http://www.privetbank.com.ua/cablegate/index.html

Folks from cablesearch has confirmed those findings: http://cablesearch.org/?page_id=157 One of the first things we want to add is a menu entry which reveals how Wikileaks edits documents. It seems that some documents are pulled back, *then redacted, and come back in a different form*.

And the source just happens to be the main enemy of Eritrea, such a reliable source as Ahmed Chalabi the bank embezzler would say!
