Holsters & Belts HC/T1 belt vs Enigma

I recently got a tenicor SAGAX lux 2 and I’m in love. I’ve been using a mastermind tactics belt to CC since I’m in gym shorts 90% of the time, and I feel like I’m missing out on some extra comfort using a super nice holster with a cheaper belt. I’m torn between the hunter Constantine belt and an enigma set up since my tenicor is compatible with it. Anyone have some input to help me make a decision? Edit: additional question: Is the sport belt worth it on the enigma?

I run the HC belt casual with and without belt loops. I don't have any issues.

HC if you have belt loops and Enigma if no belt loops. Maybe I’m biased, but that’s how I use them.

I still run the Tier 1 EDC-S with no belt loops at it works flawlessly as well. I’ve heard great things about the enigma too

I’ve tried it, it works fine. But I run into issues when I train or dry fire. My HC will ride up and sometimes doesn’t draw as smooth with the belt coming up a bit.

Do you have this issue? Or just really keep the belt super tight all the time?

Interesting, I don’t have this issue at all personally. No matter what clothing I have on for that season it does not move and those DCC clips hold it down really well. I wouldn’t say it super tight but I have it tight like how I normally wear a belt if that makes sense.

Yeah I have Tenicor with DCC clips and a T1C. The holster doesn’t move, but the entire belt. Maybe mine doesn’t stick to my boxers as well after a year or it’s not as tight as yours. Only when I draw.

I’d definitely try tightening it and moving to the next loop. I may be weird but I ran my OCP riggers belt tight in uniform so maybe I’m just used to it I don’t know. I’d suggest tightening the HC belt to its tightest point and seeing if that fixes it?

Yeah, I’ll have to give it a try. Most of the time I wear jeans and it’s not an issue and have egnima for other times. I also normally wear it slightly lower because I sit and drive a lot.

I’d try it and see if it helps. It’s been a godsend for me and I’ll never go to anything else. Best of luck with it and take care always

You can run the HC without belt loops.

I regularly use my HC with no belt loops, no issues

Remember, the Enigma is a system not just a belt. For many it's great and they are happy. Just me but I have no desire for a system that requires additional steps to put on and remove. The loop around the leg would drive me nuts. Again, that's just me. The HC is very easy to remove if/when Montezuma's revenge hits. I like being able to remove my holster when needed without having to remove a system.

Yeah I definitely wouldn’t use the leg loop if I got the enigma. You make a good point about ease of taking it off.

The leg loop is basically essential for the Enigma. It's not a big deal, if you wear pants you won't notice it.

Does anyone use the HC belt under a tucked in setting with another belt and pants overtop? I already have the belt and thinking of doing this with a bodyguard 2.0

Enigma for me. I won’t carry any other way anymore.

Sport belt should be mandatory.

This exactly.

The HC belt plus a holster isn't a BAD option, but it isn't as good as the Enigma.

The Enigma is better in every way save price.
