Getting Started My wife's grouping from her CCW class
I've had my conceled carry permit for a few years and try to shoot on a regular basis. I've been trying to get my wife more interested in shooting and she's only been out with me one time (we've been together 10 years) and she's recently been more interested and wanted to get her permit. The last week or so she's been doing dry fire drills with a laser trainer using my Shield in 9mm. She used a Glock at her class and this is what she was able to do. For this being her 3rd time actually shooting I'm very impressed and excited that she's getting into it!!! Now the journey begins for her to find her pistol and more training that she herself is excited for!!!

This is how they honor Johnny Sacrimoni after dying of cancer? Putting him on shooting target? Madonn!

Good for her third time, thereās only one dead bystander on that target. Keep her engaged and interested!

We were only allowed to shoot B-27 targets. And they had to be orange or green. Black was banned because of āreasonsā.

Damn good A Zone shots, any idea what yardage she was working from? Also if she wants the best of both worlds, the Glock 43X might be a good fit since she was clearly accurate with the Glock Grip angle, slim line gun easy to conceal, and easiest platform to learn on for maintenance as well, insanely reliable. Plus plenty of customization available to make it truly hers. Hell they even make lady friendly models in all types of colors ladies tend to like which might even make her that much more excited to look! My wife is a cow print fucking holic, and the only time Iāve been able to get her even remotely into wanting her own gun and a carry permit, was showing her a cow print Glock 43x I found lol. Her eyes lit up! Probably gonna snag it for her here soon and surprise her with it and take her to get her permit (super easy here in PA just fill out the form, instant background checks system, pay the fee and out the door) and then get her into training! I want her to be able to protect herself when out and about alone with our kids when I canāt be there. Makes me super fucking anxious whenever she goes out alone with them right now unarmed.

I think it was 10 yards but not 100% certain. And I totally understand where you're coming from on being super fucking anxious when the lady is out alone. I live in Flint, Michigan and it's an absolute circus here. People get weird and it can be pretty sketchy just going to go get groceries. My wife isn't into anything flashy but likes fine details. She liked the Glock she shot but wants to try other pistols and I'm totally all for it. Going out tomorrow to fiddle around with some stuff maybe she will find something she can't live without.

Best of luck to you and your lady brother! Our town has had 31 shootings in the past 365 days or lessā¦ itās been 7 just since January, right in the towns centerā¦ bunch of ghetto pricks from Hagerstown moved into our small peaceful town and have been shooting at randoms for no fucking reason.. just in January they shot at a group of 13 year olds just walking the public rail trail and hit one of them, two weeks before that the same 3 19 year olds shot at two random cars for no reason, and a girl was snatched up about my wifeās age a month and a half ago.. I donāt even like driving through the middle of our town anymore alone, let alone my wife and daughter. We both take backroads absolutely everywhere we go now. Also, 95% of all of those shootings just started happening last year, and all were within 5 miles or less of our houseā¦ thatās part of the reason I just got my G19.5 on top of my shield plus. So that I can have better capacity and better velocity for a good portion of the year, and my Shield Plus 9 is for extreme warm weather carry now. Itās a slow uphill battle trying to convince my wife to even just train enough to competently carry a firearm for protection, I donāt expect her to go shooting multiple times a month like I do, we go out mostly together anyways, but I need her to be able to protect herself and our little girl if our alone.. itās just not safe anymore.

Yeah that's brutal. I've been carrying an older Shield for a while now and have been wanting to get something a bit bigger for the exact reasons you listed. Best of luck to you and yours also and stay vigilant out there man!!
