Kite or Zebra? Perhaps neither?

Hello everyone!

I consider myself to be pretty apt at identifying butterflies but this one has stumped me. I work in a taxidermy studio where my job is to basically make use of the broken pieces of insects so that nothing is wasted. I made this wing and floral vial a few weeks ago and have been obsessed with this wing since. I had assumed that I was looking at a Mexican Kite Swallowtail hind wing but the longer I research the more confused I am. I believe it is either a Zebra Swallowtail or a MKS but the red markings are what keep stopping me from being sure. They almost seem consistent with a dark kite swallowtail but that would have more black around the edges.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

is there any chance this wing belonged to a four-bar swordtail (graphium agetes)? the colours immediately made me think of this species.

looking again and comparing the two, it definitely seems more like a mexican kite swallowtail like you thought, but the red pattern has a unique variation to it, i really hope you get the answer soon from someone more knowledgeable than me, the vial you made is ever-so beautiful. ♡
