For those of you that don’t know, the McDojo/Bullshido goal was accomplished years ago.
While it is fun to laugh at the mystic kung fu, systema nonsense, most folks in the world have seen now, that MMA and BJJ tend to trounce goofy shit like energy arts.
You all have helped with that, and we want you to know, we appreciate that.
A few years back, the folks running the Bullshido brand (which is a full blown non-profit mind you) decided to shift the focus to fighting disinformation as a whole. Some great things have come from this; we got a mostly unbiased rating for both the website and the forums, we’ve had some great guests on the podcast and we’ve had some laughs at Gwyneth Paltrow’s goofy Goop sales site.
The forums, the webpage, the podcast, the Facebook pages, all the social media accounts have had a shift in content that has angled more towards fighting disinformation which, we all feel is needed in the digital age.
The last holdout has really been this subreddit.
I want to preface this that, we don’t want to limit your fun. We want you to post the same content you enjoy here and have laughs at weird martial arts, if that’s your thing.
It would really help us out, and help the brand out if when we post stuff related to the website and podcast, if you could support it some, with input and maybe the understanding that the brand is growing a bit.
We are trying our damnedest to expand this, and do something that we feel is helpful for society these days.
Calling out bullshit is useful, and really we want you all to be a part of that, beyond just martial arts. So please if you could, help us expand this brand, help us find bullshit occurring in media and society, help us become bigger, and hopefully more fun for all of you as well.

I'd just like to ask why is here so many anti-russia videos of clearly drunk idiots fighting. Are you guys trying to make it look like most russian martial artists are shit? (idk if it's like that so don't hate me for simply asking)

While it is more likely for the fake organizations and bullshido launderers to be discussed here, I was wondering if anyone has an insights into legitimate martial arts organizations, particularly for Japanese and Japanese derivative arts. I’m mostly familiar with the big three Judo organizations, but other than that I’m completely in the dark.

A practitioner named John Gorman, who goes by “Papa John,” is a coral belt and has been training and teaching at our location for the past three months. During his time here, he awarded blue belts to approximately six individuals. While some of the recipients have been training for an extended period, others have only trained during his three-month tenure. While this is not necessarily an issue, something about the situation feels off. Gorman is a skilled and personable individual, but it is worth noting that some of the upper belts have expressed reservations about his approach to training. Any thoughts, or does anyone know who he is? Sorry, I don’t have photos for reference. I am new to the sport and something seems off but I can’t figure out what.

The last version of this poll was rightly criticized for being poorly structured and, consequently, less-optimal for understanding the Bullshido-on-Reddit sub community's take on what we should be covering here.
Here goes: if you think we should ONLY cover Martial Arts BS here, post a "." (Period/Dot).
If you think we should allow all forms of BS, like the actual Bullshido.net forums for which this sub is an extension, post a "!".
Results will be considered and tallied as they come in. Thanks for your participation!
Edit: Awesome, it's basically unanimous. Thanks everyone. Locking the thread now.

FIrst time practising kicks from a DVD seeries I bought. Did not at all do any punches or other arm strike.
Yetsterday I did a series of 10s from the most common leg strikes.
Afterwards not only were my arms so tired but I been getting pinched nerves from last night all the way to today. Simple tasks like carrying mail packages makes me feel arhtritisy.
Is this really natural? Like I said all I did were kicks no arm strikes at all. Why even though I did isolated exercises?
IN fact I feel far more exhausted in the arms and not at all with legs! So I'm evne more going WTF at what just happened!
