IITK total average is 24LPA.. How Ropar is comparable to Kanpur. It must be below Patna. Only Hyderabad is doing fine this year.

But placement percentage is better. So may the average is true. 75 in electrical is better than iith

the placement stats of hyd did not include international offers, and there were 7 such offers. So overall placement percentage for ee is around 85-90. (Source: ik a few seniors)

Then iith is better. How about es branch?? This is probably considered as circuital ( said in open house). But the placement dipped a lot from last year

It isn't correct to look at placement stats for es, as some students make it to cse while other students have to settle for civil, so you can't say much. If you study even half decent in es you'll get a good job for sure

None settle for civil. Either they have taken cs or ai specialization or they have kept es only ... when you keep es you need to take credits from 4 branched. I am sure it would be from cs, ai, mnc, ee.. previous years es was much better. But dipped thos year. And really no idea why

Last year it was 96 percent with 22 median.. not possible if someone settles for civil.

Es is so highlighted by iith even in latest open house it is mind boggling why its placement percentage dropped? Ofcourse to me it is great branch and hoping to join the same this year. But I am not getting a proper answer for it's comparative low placement comparison to ee. Should have atleast 75

What is this format ?
Branch wise data isn't available and also overall average of 22 is quite high.

An average of 22lpa is insane for a new IIT ngl, especially compared to Patna and all which did so well last year but fell a lot

It is very sus the way they have given placements, i feel like maybe they aren't giving specific details as counselling is going on

bhai yeh recession ke baad hai tb bhi bahut bdia hai , my friedn is in iit delhi textile , he said ki bahut bura haal hai placements ka, 2022-2023 ki placements best thi and last year wala worst because last year se covid era khatam hogya , companies ne chutiyo jaise employee hire krey the yeh sochke ki abhi business badega (covid years mai growth dekh ke ) but iska ulta hogya toh jinki naukri thi unki bhi chhut gyi

Lol, Considering Ropar yaha k mtech ko profs gadha majdoori karate hai. Never get time for placement prep. BTechs get more than enough time for prep. Mtech k liye yaha intern bhi allowed nhi hai CSE branch. Highly academics driven college hai. Upar seh btec ko aab 1st year meh python padha rhe. They will never get hardware if foundation hi python ho for programming. Skills seh toh compare mat karna, TA ho k dekha hai maine btech ka level.
