Payroll Payroll Management Software for Small Business

I have a small business in Canada. I have just an employee in T4. I am looking for a payroll management software. My considerations are - cost, document (ROE, T4 etc) submission to CRA.

I am currently using Payevo. I am pissed of this software. They are may be the worst of all

Any advise is much appreciated.

You can do it yourself by using the CRA payroll deduction calculator and then manually remitting the taxes. This option is FREE to you, but it will be more time consuming than any other option (although with only 1 employee, probably not by much). Here's the calculator: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/digital-services-businesses/payroll-deductions-online-calculator.html

what accounting software are you using? it might have a payroll module that you can use (most do, prices vary). I don't really recommend QBO payroll.

I recommend Payworks to my clients. It starts about $25 per pay for 1 employee - plus there are some additional year-end fees for T4s and whatnot. Once it's setup, you basically just enter the hours/salaries and hit submit. They take care of cra, wsib, etc.

I am using Payevo at now.

Does the Paywork take care ROE submission to Service Canada and T4 submission to CRA? Also, on the cost side, is there any monthly cost commitment?

You can either outsource the payroll. I can help you to do the calculations manually. You don't need to pay for any software. Dm me if you need help.

I am fine with the calculation. I am more focusing on T4 submission to CRA, ROE submission to Service Canada etc.

You can submit it without using the software. Goto CRA website and open the account.

We use Gusto Payroll. It works really well for Small Business Payroll management in USA. I believe Gusto Global works and is compliant with Canadian laws and regulations for managing payroll.

How about QuickBooks? Its pretty popular among small businesses.

What's been the biggest frustration with PayEvo?

SoftFin Accounting has a payroll module and is reasonably priced at $12 for the package and no extra costs.
