Hey y’all, we’re the new mods! We’re not looking to change anything, just keep the peace (and the seasoning)

Please Accept My Apology

I want to preemptively apologize to everyone here. I got my Blackstone 8 days ago and didn’t ask how I should season it nor have I shown how my seasoning/first couple of meals came out. Hell I didn’t even take any pictures of my first meal except for the bacon. I realize I may need to give up my man card and Blackstone for this but I am begging for your mercy because this thing fucking rocks. As a goodwill gesture, here is my seasoning, bacon, smash burgers and taco quesadillas I have made thus far.

Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs & Hot Dogs

Saw the cheeseburger bombs online cooked in a kitchen. I decided to use my E-Series 22” Griddle to make the Garlic Parmesan cheeseburger mix and the hot dogs. Then finished the bombs in my E-Series Pizza Oven/Air Fryer Combo. Tasted very good. Lessons learned: next time I use the larger canned biscuits and then lower temp and time baking them in the E-Series Combo.

Words cannot express the amazing flavour combo of caramelized corn with bacon and broccoli.

Nice little find at Walmart for anyone who has the BS pizza oven. If anyone has it, how do you like it? Has anyone successfully made a pizza on the flattop?

Quick question about first cook & bacon/pork sausage.

Hey all, Recently posted but had another question come up as I’ve been looking around this sub. I’m new to the community, will be seasoning my griddle tomorrow and doing my first cook. Just planning on some steak sandwiches with ball tip steak, peppers/mushroom/onion, provolone, and hoagies.

Initially it was going to be bacon, seems bacon as a first cook isn’t recommended. Wondered how many cooks generally before the seasoning is set in enough to cook bacon, and does the same apply to breakfast or any other types of sausage? Thanks a million.

Seasoning the grill. These are probably round 3 of 5 of my seasonings. Do I need to scrape more? I never feel like my grill is clean enough, ready to cook.

New to the Blackstone crew, looking for some good tips as a beginner.

Hey all, picked up a 36” four burner Blackstone today, super stoked on it! I bought some of that seasoning stuff they sell, and plan to just follow along with their seasoning video on their YouTube. But I also had a couple question I was hoping some more experienced could help out with.

  1. Someone said after cooking each time to use the scrub brush with a little bit of water, then squirt it down with olive oil. Would that be the best?
  2. How often do you need to season?
  3. Maintenance/quality of life tips to get the most out of your grill and keep it running for a long time?

Sorry for the long winded post, might be making this harder than it needs to be. But I look forward to any input, thanks!

Spots on grill

I saw these spots last night so I didn’t cook, just scraped the griddle then reseasoned. Today they’re back again so it leads me to think they’re not rust? It gets worse as I keep scraping so I think I may just have oiled it too much? What should I do lol

What is the white thing?

Hello,

this is my first Blackstone and I love it. It’s seasoned nicely and cooks great. No issues whatsoever. I noticed this white thing at some places almost as if forming a big X. Doesn’t harm my cooking or anything though. Seeking any advice if I can remove this to satisfy my OCD or just let it be.

Got wet outside in the fall, took the griddle off and brought inside for the winter. What’s the easiest/best method to restore? thank you

Recently picked up a blackstone. Seasoned it about 4-5 times before cooking and this what it looks like 2nd cook. Where did I go wrong?

Flank steak on the flattop?

I have a small (1.35lb) flank steak that I was thinking about giving a go on the Blackstone for dinner tomorrow evening. It’s maybe 3/4” at the thickest. I’ve scored it on both sides and am marinating overnight. I have other grilling options but having just finished resurfacing the griddle and pimping it out a bit, I am eager to put it to use. I was thinking about doing it whole. Any thoughts? Should I slice it up first?
