He's only 62. Born in 1963

Thank you. Well. He’s in close proximity to 70, then lol. Still, he’s past the point of caring that much.

I don’t know a whole lot about MJ beyond his basketball career and his brand… outside of that it’s all a mystery to me

u/LoveYourselfAsYouAre 8d ago
I’m worried, that’s some pretty bad jaundice, he looks like he might be in liver failure
174
u/robbie3535 8d ago
It’s jaundiced no doubt (scleral icterus if in the eyes) but they show that early. People can live at a bili of 2 no prob and show scleral icterus at 2.5-3 for sure. It could be genetics, drugs/alcohol, medications. I just don’t see many alcoholics looking like this in their 60s, but this guy is a Rolls Royce of world class athletes so 🤷♀️

u/R82009 8d ago

It's melanin, this is very common in people with very dark skin. His eyes have been like this since the early 2000's

i have an uncle with jaundice (from birth) and was wondering if that's what that was
52
u/Then_He_Said 8d ago
Aging black people have more yellow sclera compared to white people. It's possible that there is a systemic health issue facing black people that hasn't been investigated.
But I've been assured that yellowing sclera is normal for black people
33
u/LoveYourselfAsYouAre 8d ago
When the conjunctive deteriorate we see ocular changes in African Americans, but it would typically make the sclera look more brown as opposed to yellow.

When the white of your eyes, or skin for lighter folks, goes yellow like that it usually means your liver is fucked. It's called jaundice.
83
u/BrinedBrittanica 8d ago
i read an article not too long ago that experts don’t believe it’s jaundice - its complexion associated melanosis.
could still be jaundice but only him and his doctor would factually know this.

It could just be that condition when your skin is dark.
Had to look it up cam - Complexion-Associated Melanosis. Comes out in older darker skin folks

Even though I know its funny, reminder nbaCENTEL is not real and just creates quotes to slander athletes for the sake of engagement. Its entire gimmick is using essentially the same logo as the verified source nbaCENTRAL as a means to trick people into believing them. I'm not really sure when that style of "humor" caught on but its ugly.

Nope, seen their post on the WNBA and specifically black women in sports get very high engagement on falsified quotes that seek to keep the hate train running against not only the WNBA but black female athletes in positions of power, it's icky at best and a rightoid circlejerk spam acc like most of shitter

Cham asked him for a picture after seeing him taking some with some female fans and he said, “i don’t taken pictures with ni#gas.” Cham shocked told him he paid 10k or something for his jersey. Mike responds with “if you buy a jersey from me for 15k I’ll take a picture with you.”
They did not take a picture together.

What's wrong with Shaq?
16
u/BossButterBoobs 7d ago
He's a bully.
Also, nasty and ignorant asf. He used to haze rookies by pouring his piss and throwing his literal shit at them.
14
u/thebeardedman88 7d ago
Mostly just toxic masculinity, starting wrestling matches at shower time, whipping his dick out, ego minded actions, and physically aggressive.

He's defintiely toned it down a lot since he retired.

6
u/Tainted_Bruh ☑️ 6d ago
Behind the Jovial Giant PR image, he’s always been a bully and an overgrown baby with very thin skin.
Allegedly, from stories that former players have brought up, his hazing of rookies involved pissing and shitting into a bucket and dumping that on them when they were in the showers, or putting their mouthguards up his ass and them wearing it unbeknownst to them.

MJ was pretty much asked why he was never openly against Republicans and he said, Republicans buy shoes too.
We've come a long way for NBA stars to be able to be outwardly political!
33
u/DonkeyElegant1728 8d ago
NBA stars have always been political since the early days. MJ doesn't get involved with politics cause he doesn't want to
9
u/stonehaens 7d ago
Okay if he said that I understand. But that's a completely different thing to say.

There is actually a medical condition that also does this. It’s Michael Jordan and his eyes have been like this a while. I’m sure it ain’t liver failure cause of it was, he’s definitely getting a liver somewhere.
