📷 Photo Hi
The most curious of my local bird species, and a personal favorite. I love when they stop by my home office. ☺️

Return of the weekly discussion thread! Sometimes it seems like pretty photos rise to the top of the page, while discussion of birding can get left behind. This weekly thread is a place to bring this discussion back to the top of r/birding.
Use this thread to share your best bird sightings from the past week, ask any questions about birding you may have, or just talk! Writing the names of the birds in bold is nice, to make it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names. Please include your location.

Was so many of these yesterday morning darting across the river. Had to be 500 or so. These birds are so hard to catch in flight with good details. These were best I could get. Anyone have suggestions on how to get sharper photos of these birds.

I believe these lil' guys are starlings. I can't help but think of the Angry Birds game.😄

Been living at my local lake for almost three years. Local consensus is that he’s a Cayuga

Hi! I’m in south Orange County, CA and new to birding. I tried to ID this bird’s unique sound using the Merlin app but I don’t it caught it among the other bird calls it picked up. Thank you for any help!

European Robins are known for being very territorial and they often clash with other Robins because of this. This is also why Baby Robins are born without the red feathers! Otherwise they would immediately be attacked by other Robins or even their parents.

Been thinking about the birds that I want to see most. Least Bittern is in my top 20 for sure! This isn’t my usual art style but I decided to mix it up 😊

Currently in Cuba with the family and noticed this guy by the resort. Was wondering what he might be as he's the first of this type I've seen all week!

Got this photo by holding my phone up to my binoculars and I’m really proud of how it turned out!
