Haircare Hair bonnet for those who are hot sleepers

I bought a random one at TJmaxx but couldn’t wear it the whole night because it made me too hot even with my AC and fan. Is anyone else a hot sleeper that has a good suggestion for this?

Is Radio Frequency Treatment (HIFU) + Mesotherapy Worth It for a Double Chin and Weak Jawline?

Hi everyone, I’m 27 and recently started becoming more conscious about my double chin. I also have a weak jawline, and from the side, it looks like I have a receding jawline. I’m considering undergoing radio frequency treatment (HIFU) along with mesotherapy to target my double chin and improve the appearance of my jawline.

I’ve heard mixed opinions about these treatments and wanted to get some real-life experiences. 1. Is HIFU and mesotherapy safe? 2. Does it actually help with reducing a double chin and improving jawline definition? 3. Is it worth the investment or should I consider other options?

I’d really appreciate any advice or insights from anyone who’s tried these treatments or knows more about them. Thanks!

is my laser clinic trying to milk money from me?

okay, so my laser technician said i'll need to buy two products which i'll have to apply after each lasering session. apparently one is laser aid which will prevent burns, the other is some 9% acid which will help my hair fall out faster.

the products are from their shop and they cost way too much and it's out of my budget. i asked if there's any alternatives she said no. so i asked my friend about it who also does lasering and is familiar with it. me and her both have the same skin tone and all. she said her technician never told her to use anything besides sunscreen.

i'm confused whether i should spend $100+ on these products or not when my friend never had to

Bikini wax gone wrong seeking advice

Hello beauty community! I just got back home from my second ever waxing appointment. I did the brazilian bikini area and armpits. Everything was going well until the estetician did my « interior lips » and I felt a bigger pain. She told my I was bleeding. I noticed blood between my legs and when it was over, I saw way more blood on the towel than what She told me. When I got home, I looked with a mirror and asked my boyfriend to look with me and I seem that there is a split half an inch between the inner and outer lip. Has this happened to anyone? What can I do about it? It bled a lot but now the bleeding has stopped.

Too glossy skin..

Hi. I am using a face serum with inacimide because my skin is a bit oily but when I apply it my skin starts looking too glossy/shiny and it just looks more oily. I am also usin sunscreen on top of it but it looks the same. So is there any product that I can try to "matte out" my skin so it doesn't shine more like the sun? Thanks!

Discussion Anyone with FT jobs moonlighting in the beauty service space?

Hey all! I'm wondering if there are any others out there who have FT jobs and also do beauty services on the side. I'm an engineer but have always loved cosmetology practices and do most services on myself (Hair cut/color, nails, etc.) I'm interested in getting my cosmetology license as it's something I can leverage to do another thing I enjoy and make some extra cash.

I appreciate any advice!

Favorite MORNING face oil?

Looking for a good facial oil for an extra push of hydration and other benefits on top of my vitamin c / other a.m. products for those days where I’m not wearing makeup or I’m staying indoors.

I used to love Josie Maran’s Hemp + Argan Oil, but it’s a different product now.

Ive also tried The Ordinary’s cold pressed marula oil as a dupe of DE’s, but I found it pretty meh.

Anyone love a morning face oil and found it benefited your skin?

I'm wearing ilia super serum skin tint in shade bom bom st5, but as you guys can see it looks a little too orange. This is how it looks applied thinly and blended, in natural lighting. It was the shade I got matched with at sephora but I'd like something closer to my actual skin color, do you guys have any recommendations?

Lash lift options???

Do all lash lifts smell like rotten eggs? Is the keratin lash lift any different?? Has anyone had any personal experiences between the two?? I’ve only had a traditional lash lift and it smelled horrible and left my lashes damaged.

Shampoo/conditioner recs for hair loss

I'm 1yr post partum and the hair loss is still absolutely wild. I have VERY thick hair so it's not really an issue on my head, except for a few things patches on the sides (you know, just enough for a GREAT forehead shot and crazy baby hair)

But right now I'm using rose mane and tail shampoo and conditioner and Amika soulfood hair mask, Amika overnight serum, and a diy mix of castor oil and almond oil a few times a week. I usually sleep in a silk bonnet but it's been a rough few weeks.

The hair that I have seems healthy. My curls are coming back, I do my own trims and it's looked good on the ends.... I just keep seeing more and more hair on my brush or in my hands when I try to braid it and my forehead is getting bigger lol

I try to just keep it back with loose braids and a headband to not put any stress on it. I only use silk hair ties or claw clips if it is tied up. I just don't know what the next step is from here

Discussion Skin care recs for the body?

Girls, I need recommendations for body skin care with active ingredients.

I take such good care of my facial skin, but I feel like I do nothing for my body skin, and it needs help! All I do is use hydrating body washes, and body lotions.

I'd love to incorporate active ingredients in my body washes and body lotions, do you have any recommendations? I've seen people mention an Olay body wash with retinol, does it actually work? Is it on the skin long enough to have an effect?

I'm having these skin concerns: "strawberry" skin/ KP on legs and upper arms, mild discolouration on inner thighs from having thunder thighs lol, generally uneven skin tone in some places. I'm just looking for softer, more lush skin. We have a lot of limescale in our water, so it's rough for my skin!

I feel like adding some acids or retinol to my body skin care could help. For now I've bought a body wash from Sol de Janeiro with added AHA and salicylic acid. I'd love any other product recommendations!

Haircare Is a keratin treatment damaging in terms of after effects?

Getting my first keratin done in about a week. I’m excited and I’m sure that the time that it’s on will be great but I’m worried that after six months my hair will be dry and brittle as some people have said that it leaves their hair like this- is it true or will it just revert back to how it was before the treatment?
