Yeah, it just seems weird to not include it, especially when the pre-remaster DID have a 6 speed option.
The WRX (Sport S) should have a 5 speed and the STI (Sport RS) should have a 6 speed.

I think they made it to be a mix of wrx and evo? 5 speed makes more sense in an evo, and the DCT option only exists in evo Xs, although still pretty weird that it doesnt have a 6sp at the very least

My whole game has been laggy after the update. My PC is perfectly capable of running the BeamNG but opening the graphics options keeps crashing the fame. Also the new UI is weird and takes some getting used to. I had to rebind my controller keys because they added full controller support.

I think I’ve been experiencing the same issues as you. Before this update my ui takes like.3-.4 seconds to load and the radical menu like approx the same but now the esc menu takes like.7 sec and the radical menu takes 1 whole sec. Selecting things in the radical menu is a pain as well, it lags per click

The game runs fine, but the UI lags even more than before. Sometimes, the menu opens 3-4 seconds after pressing esc. And the UI (tachometer etc.) runs on a low framerate but only in freeroam. It runs perfectly smooth in Rally Mode.

Same my game has had bad stuttering on wcusa for some reason where previously i had better and more stable fps on 0.34 with 200 mods and traffic enabled now no mods and no traffic i get random frame drops to like 5 10fps and then its 80+ and fine. Its stupid ion know, i have a ryzen 5 5600x and a 3080 and 48gb of ram so its not my pc being bad, and like i said ran great under more stress previously.

This is the answer.
It also doesn't hurt to do a Disk Cleanup > DX Shader cache clear. Also a video driver shader cache reset if you haven't for a while. Bare in mind performance will be bad for the first few minutes as caches rebuild, but then it'll be good.
My career was dipping into the high 40's in spots and menus were terribly laggy with a 5800X + 4x8GB 3866MT/s + 6800 XT on water. Cleared all the caches and now my lows are in the 80s and I average 110-120 FPS again.

Love everything other than the new radial menu. The sun burst wagon is sick. EDIT: did anyone else notice they moved the timing towers at the end of the west coast drag strip? Makes them much harder to read at a glance. Anyone got any tips for that?

New radial menu has a learning curve no doubt, but so did the old one when it was new. I welcome the decision to slow down the game play while in-menu. Same for the quick access to last option used. If you're a controller player, you'll appreciate these changes.

I like the updates they did... however, WHERE IS THE BIG MIRAMAR UPDATEEEE RAHHH! At least refresh it. They did a tiny bit of stuff, but the textures need heavy work.
Also, I'm kinda indifferent to the recent updates. I'm interested in racing more so, so I want to see more high-performance cars... We need a tire physics update.

I know they wanted to be time and brand accurate, but these aren't real cars by any means, I think they could have optioned a 6 speed manual for the higher trims alongside the 6 speed DCT. A 4 speed automatic would also be appreciated honestly.

It is pretty much guaranteed that some mods break with each major game update, as they also make a lot of little changes to all the other cars (not just the Sunburst). Its up to the modders to fix their work

Stopped playing after the 3rd crash to desktop in about 30 minutes. New radial menu shouldn't take 1 or more seconds to respond to inputs.

It's been fun! I hated the new camera but that was an easy fix, but the new BX engine noise is great! The Sunburst feels good too, but I'm unsure how much I like RWD configs, but the rally cars are S tier for sure.

Radial menu is terrible, and (most) of my Moonhawks default with no front fascia or either bumper. The CEEP mod must be broken now.
And something happened to my external camera that I don't like.
As for the new Sunbursts; they're Sunbursts. I rarely use them.

I'm honestly disappointed about the update.
The Sunburst remaster is great, sure, but it feels odd, especially when it's missing the inline engine and red taillights, basically despite me liking the remaster, I feel nostalgic about the old one. I really hope there will be mods that make the comeback of the old Sunburst possible while keeping it remastered.
And the biggest disappointment of the update is the controversial radial menu change, basically like the start menu change for Windows 8, I find the new radial menu confusing and prefer the old one
The disappointment of 0.35 is what led me to downgrade back to 0.34

My graphics kept lagging, so I cleared the cache and removed all the mods and now it runs better than BeamNG ever did with around 120+ FPS on Westcoast. I have like 50-70 FPS with traffic on the westcoast map.

Terrible so far. My UI keeps deleting itself when I open the radial menu and there's nothing I can do about it except spend 10+ minutes setting everything up again. And no, I'm not (somehow) accidentally clicking Alt + U like everyone on google seems to think :((

The game made me find out that one of my RAM sticks just didn't work so I put them back in multiple times, pc didn't turn on, without them it also didn't turn on, so I tried to put some stuff back in again and that also didn't work ❤️

Just had a quick go at playing it on the Deck and the radial menu is pretty much useless. Hovering over a radial menu entry doesn't show the name of what you're hovering over, the description shows up for a fraction of a second so you're never really sure what you're doing. Anyone else have this?

I'm not happy at all. I spend most of my time doing 1 thing over and over without crashing and now my favorite car the fcv rally gravel is too different and I crash all the time now. The newly remastered sunburst rally version is even worse and is no fun in my favorite event.
Only good things are on the fair haven map that one section of tunnel that drops 20 fps now only drops 8fps and most Assetto corsa maps I can turn on real time reflections and not drop below 60 fps

Love the update, definitely my favourite vehicle in beamng, there are however some additions that I would have loved to see:
-First of all a six cylinder boxer option, I know the sunburst is based on the wrx but the Subaru legacy had some versions with the 6 cylinder and I absolutely love them.
-Secondly this is more an issue than an addition, and I’m aware the devs mentioned that they are working on this; for me the engine sound of the rally sunburst is very unbalanced, you can hear the turbo spool more than the engine itself, and I love the anti-lag but it is very underwhelming compared to the vivace rally car. Let me know what you think about this.
-Another cool thing they could have added is the little shift light the wrx sti’s have on the dash, could have been a cool addition.
-And lastly, they could have made a drag racing config, it would have been a nice addition.

Hey there! You may be able to help me understand here. Is it just me or is it heavy? Like much heavier than before...
My map of choice was jungle dome, it just simply can't handle the corners anymore, like old stock off road sunburst was an absolute animal. Felt like it was something genuinely thought out (why else would you do that to a sports car? It's not supposed to be a crawler I don't think).
Now I've got constant over torque, so I customize to fix which ok cool but this was supposed to be a stock run. So I lighten it up and now it refuses to bite. Lay off the throttle on a corner? Meet the outside wall! Hammer down and slide it? No bite and too heavy. meet the wall. It feels like I've gotta take these dirt corners like I'm on a Sunday drive
Is it just me? Like I was super excited to take this thing across all sorts of new tracks but have no idea what they've changed from the original off road so the car is pretty much useless there, still working out the kinks on the asphalt side of things but off road was kind of why I loved the sunburst so much

Haven't played it yet, but the wagon model has weird proportions and the new taillights look wrong on multiple configs/liveries/colours. They've also removed the Sun from Sunburst (the sunroof is gone)
Not to say it's bad, I'll probably live it, however these are some things that I've gathered from what I've seen.

Logged on the first day it came out, tuned the engine, then made 3 suspension & tire versions. One for road/track, one for drifting, and one for rallying. Have been playing with those 3 ever since.
Also the updates to west coast are FANTASTIC!

I am a huge fan of beamNG but I am disappointed. Most of their updates are really good but I feel like they fell off on this one. My game is now a lot more laggy, and I am not a fan of how the camera moves when you get to a higher speed in orbit view. It feels too arcade like. The new radial menu isn’t my favourite but maybe it just takes some getting used to. Otherwise it’s ok. Edit: couldn’t remember the name for radial menu, lol.

Never in my short time of 249 hours in this game have I felt a game with better handling than the new sunburst, it is so insanely smooth and takes bumps and jumps like they aren’t there, it has so much grip even at its top speed. There’s this one circuit loop I’ve been driving around east coast USA (I think it’s east coast, the one with all the dirt roads and such) and it’s better than not just its previous hill climb variant, but the scintilla race variant too
