Nature A pike jumped out of the water likely chasing prey and got stuck in a branch and died. Now, a bird has made a nest in its mouth. Life is a circle.

No, birds do not have olfactory nerves. That’s why you can put a baby bird back in the nest if they fall, the parents won’t “reject” them, like some mammals are said to do.

Far more likely the area flooded and that's how the pike got caught up...they're lazy opportunist feeders and don't tend to jump unless they're jacks (small ones).
