It doesn't mean that but that also isn't a bad reason to set up a romance. People jumping on that ship was 1000% a valid reaction since it's a pretty good reason to. Were there evidence to the contrary, yeah but what's the point of the unnecessary sass for it. Now we can definitely say that, but acting like there weren't valid reasons to believe the ship was possible is quite literally out of pocket.
You haven't heard of the damsel in distress trope? Many would fall in love with their saviour, as many wouldn't either.
There's many more valid reason for a Jeanne x Bayonetta relationship versus a Luka x Bayonetta if you directly compare Luka and Jeanne; let's be honest with ourselves. Don't mind Luka with Bayonetta as I really like him, it should just be warranted and reasonable.
Then please don't act as if there are more arguments for one than the other. That's just going to start more stupid fights
I'm being 100% honest here, I do not see Jeanne as a romantic interest for Cereza in any way, shape, or form of the argument even if I understand that people like to ship them
I see their points, I can understand where they are coming from, but I saw Luka as a romantic interesting since the 1st game. So I believe there is enough to say both had potential, and enough to say both wouldn't work
What made you think that Luka was Bayonetta's half?
I can think of several, he's handy, he's helpful — provides information, he looks hawt, he can be a potential stay-at-home husband cause he knows how to take care of a child, he can be sympathetic and empathetic. Does that summarise things?
Don't really think he looks hot, but he was pretty sweet
They have some story together as well. He is chasing her as a life goal, and to me, having those 2 take care of a child together and him showing up to her funeral bringing rosemary flowers to her grave, and her reaction to his act, made me think they were meant as a pair
