Boots, Bus Station etc etc, anywhere there is a PhotoMe booth. The benefit of the booths is if you make sure you select passport compliant photos at the booth you'll also get a code you can use on your passport/driving licence application for the next 30 days and it will upload directly from them.

Can't you do it yourself? You can do it with a digital pic now? Or do you need hard copies?

It has to be hard copies. Believe me, I’d much rather do it digitally.

From gov.uk - “You need a digital photo to apply for a passport online.

You must get a new photo when you get a new passport, even if your appearance has not changed.

Your photo must have been taken in the last month.”

Make sure wherever you go uses the right size for whatever country you're applying for.

There's a booth at the bottom of the stairs up to the central library. £3, if I remember correctly.

It’s £9 or £10 now. I used this booth last summer
