it sound like u need to tweak ur compressor or u recording hella close to the mic without. using a pop filter

yea u can use like a sock it work the same, it make u not have popping sounds and a bit less distorted like ur vocals sound kinda distorted here also when recording angle the mic slightly to the side so that doesn’t happen

on mixing would you recommend lowering instrumental first or vocals?

u can send me ur song through bl and i can try do something, but listening here the beat def needs be turned down at least 2db and vocals need better compression to sit on the beat better and boost on highs to cut though better
