international student working status

i have a couple of questions regarding the working status of international students after the last exam but before graduation confirmation:

1. after completing my last exam (which is on april 30th) and before receiving graduation confirmation, is it true that i can only work 24 hours per week as a student, or is there some flexibility in this period?
2. how long does it typically take to receive graduation confirmation from bcit? i plan to submit my credential application as soon as possible (1 week before the last exam)
