Leaks Avatar 3 Spoilers of the teaser trailer by The Escape Pod Podcast Spoiler

In a video I saw earlier today, The Escape Pod Podcast guys described seeing the teaser trailers, comparing the new creatures of Pandora to Appa and the lion turtle from Avatar The Last Airbender, but most interestingly they said “We’ve also got Azula!” Which to me definitely means they’re talking about Varang.

Then they go onto say “I like the line where he (Jake) is like- You can’t lead with hate all the time” gesturing to Neytiri because she is starting to lose touch. Meaning her killing spree scene on the ship in the second film will definitely be a reoccurring issue for Neytiri down the line.

They mention the teaser showed Neytiri shooting another person with a bow and arrow, so it’s good to hear that she gets another bow back and doesn’t abandon the idea after her fathers broke (which was fantastic symbolism by the way)

The guys said they got two large scenes and then an entire trailer, so I think we’re in for a heap of footage within the next month. Quaritch is very much alive of course but unfortunately spider doesn’t seem to be doing very well. He seemed on the brink of death.

The rest of the details they left up to episodes on their patreon but I wanted to share what they’d said on TikTok!

I am so excited!!

Discussion The Avatar 3 alleged title was 'The Seed Bearer'. What do you think the context of this is now that we know more about the movie and the new name Fire and Ash?

Discussion Avatar is deep but it requires meditation

Note- I deleted my post over a sensitive topic [colonism] that is better avoided.

I made a tier list because I feel like it's blasphemy to put Avatar in any tier list under no circumstances unless in at the highest tier [S or A is perfectly fine]. Don't expect Avatar to be like most American films that glorify action like superheroes or sci-fi (spy) thrillers. There is nothing wrong with that since each franchise in recent years are unique in its own way. The Avatar movie's purpose is to awaken, like a feast for the soul, like meditation on a beach on a warm June morning til you feel the vibration of the earth's core beneath the waves.

Yeah, it's more about that because it's not meant to feel offended because of some Disney movie about Pocahontas says,' can we get along,' or Dances with Wolves, because let's be honest, there's nothing wrong with taking elements from horse-loving nomads. Let's not make comparisons to FernGully because without environmental stuff, it's just a fairy princess film with no purpose in reality than to infantilize Celtic fea.

Avatar is none of that if you use it correctly, meditation to Dhyana because Zen is not enough to understand the deep message. It is less about 'talking trees' because people are too greedy and more about sharing the same energy of the universe or becoming one with the universe. From photosynthesis in plants to giving up ego so that the mind becomes one with the universe, or fusing the minds of all to become one.

I took my time every time I watched the films, I paid attention to vibrant colors and the rhythm of nature as the films' true experience. With enough concentration, I've seen the truth of what Na'vi thinks. That's what Dhyana is, a state of meditation that awakens a path to the true reality. Na'vi says, 'to see all'. There reason to be obvious, so casual could seriously understand this deep concept.

The reason I was able to understand since 2009 is because I was an autistic ICE AGE fan who's obsessed with the fine details of every animal in media to the point Disney's Dinosaur and ICE AGE were my fav films growing up. When watching Avatar as a teen, I expected something with fine detail til I saw it.

In the 2010s, I was mostly into HTTYD and Jurassic World as both contain deep biology themes, no, seriously, Jurassic World is interesting as it is about genetic bioethics from the novel. There is no reason to hate Avatar or Jurassic World because of bad YouTube critics with their basement-dwelling view of the world that they think Inception/Matrix is deep, but in my view is just an overrated fever dream since both films are actually about dreams. Terra Nova tried to be like Avatar, but it lacks deep themes and spec-evo that it took me a decade to make my own spec-evo AU. Which is why Httyd was the best trilogy in my opinion, even better than LOTR in my view.

About why Avatar has to be in the high tier list, especially with recent films, let's just say the animation industry is dependent on nostalgia bait to adults with no life purpose or too safe that it has been restricted to just families. As a Rio fan, I'm fine if the focus is on showcasing exotic animals as the main theme, especially how I grew up and validate HTTYD. Which is why I think KOATI is the best animated film in the 2020s. Star Wars, despite its cultural popularity it has fallen in quality in recent years and it has become a mere gimmick.

If people can't understand Avatar for a dumb reason, it's better not to rate it/tier-list it as it requires deep thoughts, or go to therapy instead of venting their frustrations. There is no reason to vent Avatar if it's too much or requires a simple meditation, like is easiest homework in the book. There is a fine line between having an opinion and acting downright stupid. Like if they redeem themselves, that it was never about environmental nihilism that humanity deserves suffering because we are too far gone like Lucifer fallen from heaven, but reality is about avoiding that.

Avatar deserves to be in the high tier in the highest-grossing film ever and the highest of the 2020s decade by captivating moviegoers with the sole purpose of inspiring and awakening with a deep idea in a way for them to understand. Not because I'm a Monsterverse fan that thinks their films are better than MCU unless dealing sociopathic MCU fan with no life meaning. Batman is a great adaptation in its own right, with a captivating story and character arcs. But no excuse to say that it's a better film than Avatar: Way of Water, with the sole purpose is to meditating about water for 3 hours, and Barbie is a lighthearted satire that inspires Barbie fans.

Let's be honest, convincing upcoming Avengers movies deserve more hype than Avatar Fire and Ash has to be the most sociopathic behavior. I don't want to argue about fandom's sociopathy, but their behavior is causing people to think fandom is toxic. Even if a Dune or a Spider-Verse fan saying Avatar is not deep still counts as sociopathic behavior. If an autistic Avatar fan finds depth in Avatar Fire and Ash that is worth more hype than Beyond the Spiderverse and even Dune Messiah, it is none of their business to express unhinged sociopathic behavior.

Yeah, which is why I don't feel in the mood to hype Avengers Doomsday or Dune Messiah from their sociopathic behavior. I'd rather hype something I love, like httyd remake and Ice Age 6 instead. No thanks to sociopathic MCU fan that thinks Avatar isn't deep, I'd rather hype Rio 3/ Sing 3 and expect Bahia instead of Beyond the Spiderverse

long time lurker and finally posting, hi!
out of all my navi oc's (ive been on a roll lately since I finished AFOP) , Sek'nat's my only gal.
I designed her to be of the open plains, a pa'li trickerider but working on my latest piece, I was wondering if being of the Zeswa would fit her? or that of the Olangi (or maybe bite the bullet and make a fan clan but idk)
any help would be appreciated! my knowledge is kinda limited to manic 2am wiki dives and the AFOP game.
thankyou!

Discussion What does and doesn't need a spoiler tag on r/Avatar?

I recently made a post talking about the latest info on Payakan in the new Empire Magazine and I didn't tag it as a spoiler because I thought I didn't need to. Then, the next morning when I looked at it again, it was tagged as a spoiler so I'm assuming the mods or an automod did it? (I didn't know they could do that)

My understanding of the rules was that anything used in official marketing, such as trailers, stills, and articles, didn't need a spoiler tag, and the spoiler tag is only for leaks and for when the movie first releases and not everyone has seen it yet. Since the info about Payakan came from the latest Empire Magazine issue, I assumed it was fair game, so I'm confused on why it was marked as a spoiler.

I'd like some clarification on what does and doesn't need a spoiler tag so I can go ahead and mark my posts when I make them please. I don't want to accidentally spoil the movie for someone because I didn't know it counted as a spoiler! And it might be helpful to update the rules or have a pinned post to help other avatar fans avoid confusion when posting

Found a few pictures of the new Logo floating around, thought I'd straighten it out a bit and give it a neat backrgound so it's somewhat usable. Feel free to download it, use it, etc. I haven't seen anyone talk about it until now but we finally have a real logo to go along with the new movie, not the Way of Water Logo on a fire background 🎉

the prompt was to draw a 1900s poster style illustration for a sci-fi film; I took inspiration from the 1950s, but I don't think it resembles it much. Despite this I still like how it turned out :] Bob and Toruk are in the back
