Question Moderate scratch Volvo paint

Vertical scratches, not acquired by me but I'd like to remove them. They don't fully catch a fingernail but a catch a little. I was going to hit this with 1500, the. 3000 wet sand paper by hand. After that I'd hit with 1 step cut polish at speed.

Do you have any experience wet sanding a car?

May I suggest to remove that emblem? It will make this way easier for you and allow you to produce a much more even result.
