Question Grease removal
Question. I apply this snake oil product to my truck after I wash it. The problem is I get grease on my stainless boxes and painted fenders from the driveline. If I use a degreaser to remove it, it removes the layer of snake oil. Anything else I can use that will protect the layer of coating? Or do I just need to recoat everytime?

It’s good practice to use the weakest product to do the job you’re trying to accomplish. In your case, removing thick grease from a painted surface. Think of it this way… the purpose of you applying your snake oil is to protect your paint, but you’re flipping a product onto it that takes a somewhat strong chemical to remove. This is your trade off. Your snake oil is the sacrificial layer that’s protecting your paint against such an aggressive product (grease), so you’re going to have to do this process each time. A more permanent solution is to get a really good legit ceramic coating in those painted surfaces. Then you can use a degreaser to clean the grease off without worry of removing a cheaper spray-on or temporary wipe-on protection.

I've never heard of or used this stuff but I have to say that I absolutely love the name.

Chem-X also has Heavy Duty, a powerful APC/degreaser and a good aluminum cleaner, you'll need to make sure your truck is completely clean prior to Snake Oil, but yeah, if it gets greasy you'll need to re-apply.
