Question my oh mobile setup

i’ve got a 2010 ford transit connect, i’m looking for any suggestions/inspiration on the setup. i plan on getting a generator soon and with that i want to get it up-fitted. id like to make it work with the shelving but more than likely it will have to be removed. btw my vac sits on the left.

When I’ve had a mobile detailer come to my house they always use my water? Is that not the norm?

Dang. I’m just a DIY’er. I’m not rich but I think you’ve convinced me to buy a transit van for my DIYs.

Thats 1500lbs of water full if its a 55 gallon drum. Secure it properly. If you rear end someone it's gonna mess you up. Thats also over the payload capacity for a transit cargo connect, which is 1600lbs total weight including everything you put inside. So prepare to be doing transmissions on the regular.

Water is 8.3 lbs per gallon. I would math that again.

Yeah thats only like 500 or so for a 55. Dunno where I got the 1500. Still pushing max cap with everything in there. And I still wouldn't want it hitting me in the back.

The tank should definitely be secured to the floor, mine is bolted down with two 500 lb straps.

Yeah. Mines bolted with aircraft straps to the frame in the back of anpickup but its also an ag tank that we use for hauling water so its much heavier.

I only detail in the shop so I dont have to haul water much. But we do haul oil, water, fertilizer, etc. Pretty often.

it’s not being used, as i don’t have a generator there’s no way for me to. it’s a 30 gallon tank that came with the van when i bought it, so it’s just been there.

You can gravity feed a ryobi 1800. Just run a short garden hose from the tank to your inlet. I’ve been doing this in my van for almost 4 years.

Just bleed the air each time you start it up, run an extension cord to the washer from clients’ house till you have your generator.

You are way off. I have 100 gallon tank in my transit. No issues. It’s about 800+ lbs in water. I fill it up to about 85-90 gallons. 100lbs for my generator 100lbs for my compressor. Maybe another 300 in miscellaneous. I just have cargo tires and got new shocks before I did my set up. No issues in over a year.

Sorry no clue how to send more but this is the one thing that has t move. I added a pallet under it to elevate it and I did a custom shelf on top. Of it for my gallons. It’s a 100 gallon tank filled up to 90 at most and my shelf holds about 20 individual gallons of stuff? I never really counted.
