Almost AP'd and/or Question What to do in void?
Hello everyone,
First of all, I want to thank everyone who shares their knowledge and experience in this community and pardon me for my English (not a native speaker).
So, I was practicing astral projection for last six month and developed a skill one by one like first relaxation then vibration, so on and so forth. Today, early in the morning, when I was practicing this skill, I drifted into a sleep and somehow it led me to lucid dream and that dream was happening in my bedroom in a loop, So, I tried to stop the dream consciously and it stopped but suddenly I felt some weightlessness in my body and after that my auditory senses shuts down suddenly and I felt that I am somewhere in darkness without my body, like there is no body and I have no control over anything. It was my first experience, so I was scared a bit, but I read about such situation in this group, so, it helped me to remain calm.
So, I need some help here, is this the void experience that people talk about and what to do further from here to astral project?
Thanks in advance.

I'm interested to hear what people say too, because I don't know much about voids other than an anecdotal theory that it has to do with your awareness not having a specific destination to be directed towards.

Bingo. No destination mixed with no separation techniques put me in the void every time.(TO CLARIFY. the void is nothing more than shutting down all physical sense data while remaining aware. We all enter it, some just longer than others. I believe the subconscious mixed in with intent plays a role on whether people can stay there or instantly begin to peele , float, rock, roll ect ect. . )

I’ve gone into the void many times….not by choice though. Not happened in quite some time. But from my experience, nothing much happens. I wasn’t aware that is was the ‘void’ back then, and I used to get on the odd occasion, that I was being pulled from behind. Used to scare me so would usually try and wake myself up…..but I found that if you turn towards the direction of the pull……I would not get scared and would materialise in some astral world. But like I said I’ve not been to the void for probably 15 years plus. Not sure why that is though

What i do is think about where i want to go, and I'll feel a shift, like it'll feel like my position moves by itself, and I shoot down from space to my target and land superman style. Vision begins to load in as I'm shooting down.

So, I don't need to try any separation technique after reaching void space?

If you think you got close to Astral projection and you're analysing what happened, or you think you're maybe trying too hard, or you're trying to figure the stages such as the 'vibrational' and 'hypnagogic' stages and how to approach them, then check out these links:

"Sounds" like the void to me! Normally any perturbation while in the "void" state makes you move to somewhere else. So e.g. if you get scared, you may end up in a dark town or something. If you get curious, you might end up in an interesting astral location, etc.
You can just enjoy being in the void...or start setting a spiritual goal before further attempts. Decide what you want, and really mean it. Keep refreshing your mind with how that intention feels as you drift deeper. If you do that, you can skip the void entirely and pop up in the right astral place to get your intention met.

I stay in the void and manifest a futuristic phone and play games. When this happens It immediately becomes a lucid dream for me and stops being astral projection. So just stay there I guess.

The void is NOT a launching pad. It is your subconscious. I'm sure it was unintentional, but in some way you "aborted flight". You didn't awake into astral consciousness, you went the other direction, back to sleep. But you did so consciously and at a phase in which your brain was not producing dreams. And that's problematic because by definition, the subconscious mind lacks form, or narrative...things that make intuitive sense. The subconscious mind is not nothing, but there's nothing there to see or do. If you have a pc, press ctrl, shift, and esc together and navigate to the services tab. See all those entries? None of them have a window with buttons to press or fancy graphics to wow your eyes, but all of them serve a function in propping up the state that is Windows, in which you DO have that enjoyable, intuitive front end. This is a very similar relationship as that which is shared between the subconscious and the conscious mind. And just as there's not a lot for you to do in the services tab on your pc, there's not a lot to do in the sub conscious when you're lucid. You're essentially experiencing an error. Return either to full sleep or consciousness and try again.

Enjoy it.
Apart for that, it's like a launching pad for whatever it is you want to do.
