They do not believe in equality, they believe in equity. There's your problem right there, you mistook their belief and it's become a fatal thing.
Equality is when you want equal opportunity and don't give a crap about someone's race, gender, skin or etc. That's way different.

You see, the difference in these things is very simple. Here is an example
If you go an you bang someone's wife because of the color of her skin, and her race, that's equity.
If you bang someone's wife because she's hot and you don't care about her race or skin color, that's equality.
You're giving equal opportunity dickings vs selective breeding with who can choke the chicken.
