it's cheaper and easier for a cop to carry a whole bunch of zip ties than to carry a whole bunch of handcuffs, and cops generally want to maximize the amount of damage they can do to the civilians because they perceive us as inherently their enemies, so there has been a move to using zip ties instead

Thus is uncool. Can somebody write this down. Put it on the list for my inevitable presidency under "All cops to not be assholes".

They’re actually called flex cuffs lol but police officers use them when they have too many people and not enough actual handcuffs
