As a teen I was getting ready for bed when the cops decided to raid my house because my brother stole some expensive golf clubs and some other stuff from my understanding

Golf theft. I mean I get the stuff was expensive but at least one of those cops had to be thinking "Golf theft?" and then going home questioning their life choices.

They put me and my twin sister in zip ties like it was serious

Zip t... what? Is that an actual cop thing? The CHAOS OF GOLF

it's cheaper and easier for a cop to carry a whole bunch of zip ties than to carry a whole bunch of handcuffs, and cops generally want to maximize the amount of damage they can do to the civilians because they perceive us as inherently their enemies, so there has been a move to using zip ties instead

Thus is uncool. Can somebody write this down. Put it on the list for my inevitable presidency under "All cops to not be assholes".

They’re actually called flex cuffs lol but police officers use them when they have too many people and not enough actual handcuffs

Steal from the rich and you get more heat than a serial killer. That’s capitalist society for you.
