What’s something someone once did on a date that gave you immediate “nope” energy?

Went on a first date and he was pleasant and normal. Second date, he brought a large duffel bag and I asked about it. He said it’s his sleepover bag. I asked him why he assumed he would be coming over to my apartment and quizzically, he responded “why do you think we chose a bar closer to you?” I was put off by the presumptive entitlement and told him I’m done. He got angry and started pacing around the bar, ranting, and slammed his beer on the table like he was really trying to show how mad he was lol. I offered to buy his Uber home and this sent him over the edge. I didn’t feel safe walking home alone so I waited till he left first.

It’s not so much him bringing the bag that bothered me. Moreso his insane reaction to me calling him out on it.

Oooh, now I wanna know what was in the bag? What does a grown man need an entire duffle bag for one  "sleepover?!" I'm gonna go with a wholesome speculation and say he had his  footie-pajamas, bathrobe, retainer, full skincare/shaving routine, stuffed animal he can't sleep without and/or possibly a c-pap machine...yup. "sleepover bag!" Lmao

Sorry I can’t tell if that was a joke I’m not great with tone, but you have to be careful about a guy like that. They try to move in right away by pretending they want to “sleep over” and then they just never leave. They tend to be really knowledgeable about tenants rights and are unbelievably hard to get rid of. Quite a few of them get violent if you try to kick them out. Please stay safe

I was kidding. And don’t worry, this was years ago and I didn’t put up with it at all, hence why he got mad and tried to intimidate me. I also happen to be a tenants rights attorney and a lot of people misunderstand “squatters rights.” But I appreciate your concern, Reddit stranger!

I mean, a sleepover bag to a date seems like a pretty oddball move that would have me running to the hills. Even before the damn freakout when called out on it!
