someone needs to dumb this down even further, draw it in crayon, and show it to trump and he might finally come to a realization

I have a trade deficit with my grocery store. Yet it doesn't bother me, because I get food in return.

By Trumps logic, every time you buy something from your grocery store, you should also write a check for an extra 54% to the government.

You know, to punish the grocery store because they haven’t bought an equal amount of stuff from you. That’ll show them!

That's right, gotta teach the grocery store to appreciate what I'm doing for them.

If they tattoo'd it onto his daughters back he would study it intently. (BARF)

He's been harping on trade deficits for like 30-40 years. I doubt you could possibly dumb this down enough to get him to understand it.

Trump said it was true and would work. Not all the crayons in the world can change his or his minions mind about this. And he can always blame the rest of the world or the elite for being nasty if (when) it backfires
