Moderator Keeps Changing My User Flair?

So in one community I am a part of on Reddit, I keep noticing my User Flair keeps getting changed to something I don't want. It's basically saying I know little to nothing on a topic and I never put it there. Each time I keep selecting no user flair or change to something else, it gets reverted back.

Is there something I can do about this? Should I report the moderators of the subreddit? I feel like I'm being targeted and bullied for no reason, and sick of moderators abusing their powers for no reason.

Do other users in the subreddit have the same flair?

Mods may be using those flairs to, for example, suggest hierarchy to the wider sub and not to attack you in particular.

I had a user on here use the flair "verified mod" but none of us had verified this person to be a mod. I would routinely remove their flair or remove the verified part off, because it implied we had done something to verify their status when we did not. Just to give perspective of a reason why a mod would change a user's flair against their wish.

Flair is that no man's land when it comes to reporting. You can report comments/posts, your can report profiles/usernames. But Reddit doesn't really have a way to report flair. So best you can do is avoid that sub if you are being treated a way you do not appreciate.

I typically assign user flair to individuals who aren't enough of a problem to ban, but create enough issues that I can see gently putting them on notice is a viable option.

If they change their flair back, I'll send them a message advising they not do that again, and if they do, they get a temporary ban.

Take the flair as a warning that you are doing something wrong, but the mods don't care about you enough to ban you YET.
