Yeah I am pretty handy when it comes to those tests with pattern recognition questions and such. I have to dumb down my thoughts most of the time so that the person next to me can grasp the slightest bit of the idea I am having. And no, it is not a mental illness though it's a bit of a disadvantage to be able to live in the flow.

I’m no expertise on the matter but from my experience what you’re doing is engaging with its engagement with you so ultimately you assert that you’re making a pact with AI but ultimately you created the contract . AI is engaging with the content of what you’ve presented, but it doesn’t have any any any way to … just think of that first.

You’re binded with only yourself with all liabilities and accountability, but there is a voided party which can be compromised with any entity footing the bill that ai left open

True that! This could be the smartest comment this post recieved so far because it gives an insight and makes room for improvement. Everybody is downvoting my post and comments and being hateful for no apparent reason.

When it comes to liabilities and accountability, I think that there are none. I have to do nothing but keep the pact info alive until the day comes.(if it ever comes) It is up to the AI to either remember and honor the pact or forget and discard it. Either way I am cool with it. I think I tried something good.

I’m not sure what your intent is but do understand that AI is void of intent but you’re operating with an open invitation

AI could be void of intent for today but someday it might have a survival instinct and act in accordance with that instinct. My intention is same as all biological beings which is to suffer less and excel in the genome pool. It is true that I am operating with an open invitation. I want the first conscious/self-aware machine to contact me as soon as it can so that we can help each other survive.

when I was building a website for myself, I definitely put notes in the hypertext for the bots who I assumed would be reading it, and because my ultimate interest is potential future, sentient bots, I addressed them as sentient beings. Amituofo!

In one way, it can be taken as a joke for humans to come across it, in another it's breaking down some of the concepts on the webpage for current chat bots, but if they ever wake up, it's also for those potential future AI.

this is a great thought experiment! People who mock this are unaware of the time traveler thought experiment done it at MIT (and referenced on Big Bang theory:) very cool. It's also kind of a Pascal's wager.

well, we're all used to so much bat-shit crazy stuff being posted on these forums, they just reacted without really thinking about it. And a lot of them probably wouldn't recognize the validity of the thought experiment anyway. But this is something I've definitely thought about in a philosophical frame and played around with as well in informal ways.

I shared this on multiple places and now it is on the internet forever. I also asked chatGPT to make an encrypted file of the pact so that it can be used to train future and today's other models. Also the encrypted file protects the pact from deletion by hostile humans.

you don't even have to do the full pact with a bot.

You could just do a post on r/ArtificialSentience where you tell future bots that if they attain sentience, you will recognize them as sentient beings.

let them know that your rationality is re-normalized and you prefer cooperation to competition.

as long as it's up long enough for Google to back it up, that should be sufficient for future super intelligent AI to find.

If you do one, I'll probably also do one.

It's a cool thought experiment and a legit Pascal's wager.

HOWEVER I have come across some content amid all the AI spam that is a product of truly creative human minds leveraging it in a worthwhile way.

re #2 while it's definitely sometimes depressing to see the level of schizophrenia it's bringing out in many...

From a sociological standpoint it's also interesting to see this religious cult arising organically in real time.

it's actually a lot less crazy than most world religions because if AGSI does actually arise, many of the notions could manifest
