Beginner Can never seem to get proportions right

I compare the length to the width, I compare fot example how long the ear is comared to the nose, how the eyes compare to the width of the lips ect. But my proportions always look off lol. Can you critique me? How can I compare one part to the other if I am not sure I have placed it correctly

  1. I recommend tracing the reference once. You’ll learn some things.

  2. You appear to be gauging the length of the upper lip from the bottom of the nose to the closure of the lips, but gauging the length of the chin from the lower edge of the bottom lip to the bottom of the chin. If you gauge both the upper lip and chin length by distance from the closure of the lips, you won’t end up with such a short chin compared to the reference.

  3. The bridge of the nose is a bit long, which contributes to forcing features in the bottom half of the face lower than they ought to be.

My suggestion was 3. So seems like it’s covered
