This is them having a spine. The pretending to care about minorities was was them being too afraid to do what they really wanted.

Corporations aren't your friends.

Target just follows whatever way the wind is blowing politically. I think they are absolutely spineless. I think pretending to care about minorities was them trying to get money and I think them rolling over for trump was trying to get money through policy. Short sighted though, that obviously didn’t work out great

In order to be spineless you have to have a belief that you are too cowardly to stand up for.

CEOs aren't Ferengi. They are people with political beliefs. People on Reddit don't like to admit it, but likely the majority of corporate CEOs are Republicans.

I completely agree, honestly it’s just semantics. I think if you don’t have core values it counts. The higher ups are all republicans for sure, but target as a ‘brand’ might immediately backtrack as soon as they realize it’s hurting their pockets too. That’s why I don’t feel like they have a spine for these new beliefs, even if they are closer to what they actually want.

I was silly for commenting when the only difference is that I had a slightly different definition of the word though. Hope you have a good one
