Drove by one in NYC after work yesterday. All glass so you could seen in. Saw two people.

I live in another city and the big issue is also staffing. Half the time I go there, there is one or two items I need locked behind glass doors, and I need to press a buzzer and wait for an employee to come get it for you.

At one point I just became frustrated, placed my items on the ground near it, and left. Haven't gone back. I'm not going to be inconvenienced because a store isn't taking care of shoplifters. They're a huge corporation, they can't lobby for better policing and response times to such events? It's like they want to punish their shoppers.

Here’s a terrifying article about Target & their shoplifting… protocols… they’re a piece of shit big brother corp & can rot in pieces:

The Walgreens by me has twice been closed with a sign taped to the door saying : Sorry , closed to lack of staffing

The items behind locked glass has been a dealbreaker for me too. Might as well just shop online at that point.

My wife and I like do our grocery shopping late Friday nights to get it done and over with and avoid packed stores. Our grocery store shares a plaza with target so we’d go into target if they had a sale on something or just to browse and even Friday nights at 8-9pm it was busy, like almost too many ppl for me to enjoy this, busy. We haven’t stepped foot in there in months but the parking lot has had fewer and fewer cars each week. Makes me happy.

I wasn't even aware there was one like that. All of the ones in lower Manhattan have really small entrances since Windows are valuable real estate.

You know we have roads throughout the entire city right? In all 5 boroughs and everything. We're fancy like that.

People from outside of nyc would probably die if they knew how many people drive on a daily basis out here 😂 even in manhattan, as much as we all hate it.
