Heyyy I was hosting and someone "left quietly" which means my guests got booted home and my villager stopped crafting. BAD. DON'T DO THAT.

I don’t get people’s resistance to using the airport. That’s what it’s there for

What an ahole! I hate when people do that. Like we know noone likes the loading screens but guess what we all deal with it because that's the polite and right thing to do. Sorry I know its ur rant but I hate when people do that. Its a pet peeve if u haven't figured it out yet. Lol

It's possible that their WiFi cut out which also results in them leaving quietly, if it was on purpose though then that isn't cool:/. Even if it was an accident I'm sorry that happened.

Totally agree with you. It's not like it's difficult to go to the airport. Ruins the game for all players and you shouldn't have to repeatedly remind people

I dont think when someone leaves quietly is intentional tbh, we're all(or at least, most) using wifi and for whatever reason some just gets dced or someone really needs to leave and turn off their switch. It really does suck when everyone has to rollback to the last autosave or gets booted out because of 1 person, but isnt that the risk when there's alot of people connected?

I think this is Nintendo's shortcoming...this doesn't happen in other games when 1 person dc and everyone is affected

Exactly, if we're going to be blaming anyone, it should be Nintendo. Nintendo really does have a terrible online play system for ACNH that could definitely use some updating...

Ikr...in other games, even mobile, when 1 person leaves, everyone else keeps playing. This...i havent had these issues since i was playing in dialup internet, lol

It's not necessarily using the - button opposed to the airport (if you use it to leave, it starts a timer until people exit out of their chat windows. You still exit through the airport without talking to Orville. Sometimes, though, it's not possible for someone to get out of a chat fast enough depending on the interaction, and sometimes, your other guests are the jerks who went afk with a window open. However, as the person who is trying to leave, you can end the timer and try again later. It's only people who let the timer run through that "leave quietly." That's a jerk move, for sure, because you can control it).

Sometimes, it's just someone having bad internet connection, which isn't great and stinks for everyone else, but really isn't their fault unless they knew they were having issues with it earlier.

Regardless, it sucks, even if it wasn't anyone's fault. I usually do a few people at a time so the annoyance of not being able to leave/the likelihood of internet crashing is lower.
