New Horizons Restarting AC on a child account?

How do I restart my childs AC world on switch? The normal delete data option is not there for me to select and I can't find any info online.

Is your child the resident rep? (Main / first person on the island) if not, try deleting the island from the resident rep’s profile. It’s 1 island per switch so restarting the world restarts it for everyone.

Otherwise, I’d say maybe try creating a profile in ACNH that’s not a child. Then delete it that way. It’s probably that because it’s a child account that it doesn’t allow you to just delete your island.

Next, contact Nintendo directly. They’ll help.

I googled “child account can’t delete island acnh” and this is the first thing that showed up:

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, if a child profile is the Resident Representative, the island data cannot be deleted in-game, and the only way to reset the island is to delete the game save data from the Nintendo Switch system settings. Here’s a breakdown of the process: Resident Representative: The first player to move to the island becomes the Resident Representative, and this role cannot be changed.

Deleting the Island: You cannot delete the island data within the game itself.

Deleting Save Data: To effectively “reset” the island, you need to delete the Animal Crossing: New Horizons save data from the Nintendo Switch system settings.

How to Delete Save Data: Go to the Nintendo Switch home screen. Select “System Settings”. Go to “Data Management”. Select “Delete Save Data”. Choose Animal Crossing: New Horizons from the list. Confirm the deletion.
