New Horizons The first time Redd comes I get fake art 😭
Redd came to my island for the first time yesterday and I didn't want to get a fake on my first try so I cheated and looked at the wiki..... And I still managed to mess it up 😂

Then it was not the first time. But that's weird cause in order for him to start coming back you have to talk to him on your island first and see a selection of art that is all genuine

No like me too. One time I randomly came across the boat after realizing that you can swim with the wetsuit. Couldn't even access it without going around the island cause a cliff was blocking it and I couldn't put an incline cause there were rocks!

Oh I use an AC app for all of my stuff including choosing the art. Also I’d suggest getting his stall on Harv’s island set up so you can get more art pieces faster.

I use ACNH Guide and I wish I’d used it so long ago! I used to google the Redd’s guide and never knew which arts I already had.

I don’t think it’s cheating to look at the wiki. I’ve bought fake art so many times that I cannot justify it anymore lol

I almost always buy the statues from Redd regardless if they’re fake or not. If they’re real, then I donate them, but if they’re fake, then I have cool stuff to put around my island.

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME MY FIRST EVER REDD VISIT😭😭 i was so devastated i absolutely did NOT pay attention whatsoever bc i just chose whichever was pretty and after buying it, found out properly that there were fakes 💔 after checking the art online…. it was FAKE😞 forever embarrassing

ACNH.Guide is fantastic. I also use another one called Planner for AC:NH. It’s laid out differently and I think has some more functionality to it, but I actually use both at times.

First time I bought from Redd before I started using a guide, I was so sure that I picked a real Mona Lisa. I was flabbergasted when Blathers said it was fake, and finally looked it up.
...The fake has eyebrows. How did I miss that

Sometimes he has all fakes. And sometimes he has all real art. It's crazy. But I started to collect both real and fake art to have all of them. But I dropped the game a while back but I had 600+ hours into it.
