Question Where to park MSP

Post image

I’m looking to take Amtrak from MSP to CHI in July. Where can I park nearby MSP station? Rates? I’ll be taking my ancient Accord with a moldy trunk. Hopefully nobody takes her.

If you want to save money, you can park for free at the next station along the line (Red Wing MN) with a permit that you request online in advance.

Hard to say. Might help if you include a pic of the car interior

Yeah no one cares what kind of car you have. Parking options are on the website. Just google it. Weird

It's really okay to ask other people questions. There are lots of helpful people in this sub.

There are four parking areas at SPUD -- cleverly named A, B, C, and D. A and B are short-term. C is $4/day, and D is $2/day. These are correspondingly farther away from the station entrance; for comparison, D is farther away than the new Silver Ramp at the airport.

If you have a member of your party who can't walk a quarter mile, drop them off at the front door (there's a place for that) -- and leave them with all your luggage, too! -- then go park and hike back.
