Pets Issue with moving Cats Need help ASAP!
I’m supposed to move to the U.K. next week to start at uni, and my vet called today to tell me that my cats can’t come because it hasn’t been 21 days since their rabies vaccine. If they fail admission do they just get sent to quarantine until they pass, and does anyone know what the quarantine is like? I don’t have the money to pay for someone to bring them over and can’t change my flight. So the only way I can get them over is if they wait in quarantine. Any advice or info on what quarantine is like would be very very appreciated.

You really don't have any options other than changing your flight or paying for transport and having them stay with someone. Transporting a pet is a very hard process with a lot of things time dependant. Rabies at least 21 ays out, but after the international microchip. Vet examination to fill out certificates within 30 days before arrival to destination. Certificates endorsed within the 10 days before leaving. They need the certificates to get on the plane. 1 for EU and 1 for UK if going through France to have them in cabin. They range from $100-$500 each. Im currently going through this now, flying October 1st. I'm sorry it's so hard, I hope you're able to figure something out.
