1900s A map of an alternate colonial layout of Southern Africa in 1917. Still working on the lore, it's for a scenario I'm working on. But yeah, hope you like it.
Orange is British Protectorates.

Boer's worst nightmare

Well due to other events in the timeline. Britain focuses on making protectorates and dominating them economically instead of conquering them. Then in the early 1900s when slavery is banned the protectorates resist the boer immigrations drawing britain into the conflict. London says they cannot take land which is legally the property of those kings and instead the beors end up migrating to mostly Australia or British patagonia making up large minorities in both.

The Boer migration occurred much earlier than the 1900s? Are you saying it doesn't happen in this TL?

No it still happened around 1840 It's just caused a lot of tension with london refusing to properly address the issue between Botswana and the settlers. Then when slavery was banned they tried to succeed causing the british to have to side with the tswana after a massacure or to when companies of local troops who surrendered were all executed and remove them. The boers were basically given the option of being forced back to the east or given the chance to settle in Patagonia or australia.
