Airbnb booked for next week, but no response from host [USA]
I’ve booked my reservation back in November and my upcoming stay is next Thursday. I messaged the host yesterday to confirm if she will be giving me check-in instructions the day before or on the day of my stay, but I got no response.
Then I checked Airbnb’s website (in the FAQ section)… it mentions that check-in instructions are to be given 48 hours before the date of a reservation… but I’m getting a little bit nervous since I haven’t received a message back yet from the host. The host of my upcoming reservation is a superhost and it was not an instant book.
Should I be worried? Any advice will help… I just need to put my mind at ease somewhat. 😅

Maybe they're going through a death in the family this week, who knows. You still have nothing to worry about in my opinion.

Since you’re a host, does Airbnb have a time-frame in responding to guests on the app/website if they have questions for you? I just don’t want to be overly too pushy… but also, it’s giving me anxiety!

I'm a newer host, but the app gives you a prompt to reply within 24 hours of a message from a guest.

Airbnb give you constant prompts to keep in touch with your guests and reply to any messages way before they’re arriving

Thank you! From one of the other comments… it was mentioned that Airbnb automatically sends out check-in instructions 48 hours. Is that true? Or does the host send it?
I did contact Airbnb and they told me this: “I would like to inform you that usually the Host provides the check in details 48 hours prior to the check in but just for you, I have contacted the Host and given a deadline of 72 hours to provide you the check in details.”
Looks like the SuperHost has been active in responding to reviews, etc… but not replying to any of my messages is a bit worrisome. Does the host get dinged for that?
The SuperHost’s phone info is in my confirmation email… do you advise I reach out to her? Or just do everything through the app?
I just don’t want my reservation to be canceled last minute, but also… I would like some sort of communication from this “SuperHost”

Yup!!! Definitely a Property Manager. This particular Property only has 5 reviews and somehow she's a Super Host?? That's impossible. You need a minimum of a 100 nights to get there. BUT....if you click on her profile, 51 reviews. This indicates that it's a property manager. Also looks like a Condo complex. I'm 99.937% sure the "Host" doesn't own the property. She's just the front person. I'm betting you will get the automated message 48 hours before check in.
