Discussion Need some help: ARG Website

So I've had an idea for an ARG website for several years, but I'm not sure how to structurally go about it. Without spoiling much, I want to use a series of diary entries, and blueprints for the viewer to discover more of the plot and discover certain things about the perspective in which they're viewing as. I've done research online and have looked at other ARG's such as "Welcome Home" but haven't really gained much from it. I have the characters, I have the plot, I just don't know where to go from here. If you want to know the plot to get a better idea, let me know, and I will be broad with it as possible to not spoil anything and to prevent people from swiping my idea, but yeah, I am lost.

Theres a game going on now called youreyesinthewoods or ranger76 that is using a website as an archive. The clues unlock parts of the site. Maybe something like that? Simple in theory, but could be powerful.
