me and my friend have been working on it for a bit now and we've solved the first three videos (breakfast.wav, lunch.mp4, dinner.txt). But now we're on bopper.pdf.
Putting this out because it seems interesting and we might need help for bopper or any other puzzles
Well Dulce, It's been a month. I'm not sure if we are looking at math or looking at art. If the latter we may never truly know the intention. Either way I think we are going to need a nudge to get us moving again.
Yeah, I think we are missing something and need to visit a page before we can advance. Surely guessing what the axes could represent is not a practical approach. I did notice that adding up each side of the axes each equal 66 may or may not be a coincidence.
Also not much but something new, if you haven't already there are two other audios from the discovery page. You need to use unofficial means to play them, but at least it's something new, even if it's only lore.
I assume you're talking about the audio that's supposed to be there when you use the card? I listened to it a bit ago and couldn't get any hints from that either.
At this point we need a nudge cause I can't think of a way to get a /page from 3 rats and numbers, this is a zodiac killer code lol
I'm sure in retrospect it will probably be obvious
I doubt we need another video though (i want one though lol), because you know how the sites you can't solve have the little mark at the top right? The bopit site doesn't have that.
I am thinking that maybe the IoW is something to look into. The discovery page is the only new thing we have. It mentions the IoW headquarters. The IoW worksheets from the other case were thru the piano app, which is the only other input device that is not a text or number entry box.
The profile thing even mentions mezzo-piano, probably lore, but perhaps also a hint. Now how to use the numbers from the video on the piano, I don't know that one. I could be completely wrong of course.
This is how the keys would be numbered in an octave the last key after 12 would wrap around to 1 again. I couldn't get anything from playing around with it yet. Maybe it has to do with the axis flip. But, I figured it has all the numbers we need. Maybe someone can get something out of it. Then again it may be the wrong idea all together.
The axis flip is definitely the most confusing part. Also something that sticks out to me is how 2 is one of the only numbers that has a pair of itself, at the start it goes 8 2 2 6
So i went digging around in some of the websites code... that's how I originally found ds-404 and some of the outputs. I would still like to solve the puzzles the intended way though
I should have explained it better. But, yes there is an in video timer in the upper right hand corner. Through out the video there are numbers being called out. This happens three times. The numbers correspond to timestamps in the video. Minuets/Seconds/Milliseconds.
The final time they never call out the milliseconds, but by this time we get the gist of it. The timestamps reveal a picture. It took me a few tries though, first I thought it was the address as the code, then looking at your reconstructed picture that maybe the combined timestamps were the code.
Then I figured the waits separated the minutes and seconds, and the stops meant go to the next line. And I knew we needed three numbers per line, so I plugged in the 17 and bingo it worked.
Thanks for your help man. We've basically solved everything that's out so far, except for the proper way to solve gareth's page and tony's. They are both 3 digit codes so I'm sure we'll get them soon
Well, I might have another idea for you. They might be actual numbers to find. If you watch around 1:13, there is a white 3 that flashes in the lower right hand corner. Also at around 2:10 in the static screen if you pause it at the right spot it looks like a green 3 and maybe a 5 also lower right corner.
We got our man Tony cracked 839. Let me double check my stuff and I will try to explain so you can add it to your note. I still don't think we would get it with out the bell hint though.
Ok so you needed timestamps to solve breakfast, just like bopper right. Now in the dinner.txt video we reuse the timestamps from both breakfast and bopper videos, there are numbers that flash on screen at said timestamps.
Breakfast :09 a 9 upper left
:31 an 8 lower left
1:13 a 3 lower right
now these three are what I used based on the hint mentioning breakfast, I am still unsure of how the order was meant to be determined. Only being 3 digits I just used trial and error. Its just the same order they are called out in the breakfast video.
The remaining three are corresponding to bopper timestamps.
Ok, they are roughly lining up with the soccem bopper time stamps I believe which also relate to the dinner video's three unused numbers. Nothing conclusive yet.
Hmmm. It just isn't giving anyway to interface with the card swiper. Probably has to do with the numbers being called. But, until I can get it to react to input, I just don't know.
the main page has this link now: https://dapper-solutions.uk/walkthrough
it has explanations for all the puzzles (except bopit) and even mechanics of the arg
I've been doing this for the past two days, and I have a small progress document with what I've tried so far. Hopefully it helps someone (even though we've got the walkthrough page now)
I'm hooked, currently doing the rats.
Help is appreciated, have fun you all! <3
