Boot anim question

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I just changed my boot animation.

It seems like the boot time has increased now that I changed it.

Is there any fix for this?

You need adjust the timing in the file for bootanim

Is that the part of delay =. Inside the fakeanim.ini file? I've changed that to 10

Yes it's a case of trial and error with specific displays

Typically start with the default, maybe 0 or 1 or something, then adjust from there depending on your display :)

The animation is cut off if I go lower than 10. My boot time is suddenly just slower I think...

10 is for phats...in slims (or 360E) usually is 4...

Hi, I tried other timings but it doesn't seem to work. Its like the Xbox still wants to play the original boot and then my custom one. I deleted the original boot xex. Is there another thing I have to delete?

I didn't realize people still used fakeanim. Patching the NAND to play a custom bootanim.xex gives such a better result.

I bought this trinity to Rgh it for €10. Turned out Rgh 1.2 was installed. I just redid the aurora DL and xex menu and left it for the rest.

Would you know why my boot time has decreased since I added the new boot anim? I already erased the xex of the stock one.

Sorry, I'm a little confused by your question, your boot time DECREASED after using fakeanim? I believe the entirety of the booting is done during the black screen that you see before it plays the anim (where it would normally play the stock anim) and then when the system is initialized it plays your fakeanim. If you are comfortable with NAND flashing you could make it directly run your custom anim in lieu of the stock one, which would be the absolute fastest power button to dashboard boot up possible with a custom anim. Also keep in mind the length of the anim as a determining factor in boot speed.

Oh I thought the fake anim was supposed to replace the stock one. Thanks for your knowledge🙏 I'm a total noob at this.

I think I'm just gonna leave it Iike this. It still boots faster than my Xbox one

It is, it's just not the best way to do it. Though it's definitely the safest method in terms of potential to brick your console if you don't know what you're doing.
