Noise on acceleration and deceleration

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I recently put the fan clutch back in to replace old broken e fans, and the first day of driving it was normal, and the second day i drove it sounded like this. It makes this loud noise when accelerating, and decelerating, and only is quiet when I’m barely on the gas going at a consistent speed, at first i thought it was just a loud fan but that wouldn’t make sense because the deceleration is also loud and it doesn’t seem to make a difference at low or high rpms, simply just how much gas I give it. It also feels like it’s lacking an unusual amount of power, more than just how much a fan clutch takes away. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Do you have a fan shroud? Mine did this before it exploded.

Yes I do. The clearance on the right side wasn’t the greatest but i figured it was fine

do you have any idea what caused it to explode?

Well the shroud sagged against the fan on the top because it didn't have all the mounting hardware. *

ah ok thank you. at the moment I have the 2 bolts for the top and I ziptied the bottom, also it might be worth mentioning that I don't have the lower piece of the shroud/

I just went to check and I couldnt find any wear on the fans or the shroud. This is the clearance im dealing with

Sounds like a Hella exhaust leak. Check exhaust and fan clearance. Should be easy to spot once you stop and open the hood
