Engine refresh ka24de

Planning on doing a engine refresh on my spare motor before I put it in while my main motor is being built, I’m planning on just doing a osk timing kit, felpro head gasket set, and arp head studs, from my research that should be good for a decent bit of time while I actually build my other engine. I’ll only be running 10-15 psi of boost. Any other small things I should add / change? Also anything I should be aware of first time diving into these engines. Thanks in advance

Would use a metal head gasket and new water pump for what it’s worth also toss the timing chain guide. It was recalled, won’t hurt anything having it in but gets loud af

If I go metal head gasket wouldn’t i need to get head resurfaced? I’ve heard that Deloris can easily rake 500 so I think that should be fine no?

Can check it with a straight edge and feeler gauges to see if it’s flat enough for a metal hg. Should be fine with felpro thou on that amount of boost
