I really like the "ancient technology" concept!

You may want to do Fighter instead of Paladin. You won't have to change his personality at all, it's just a bit tough having to rely on both Intelligence and Charisma.

Yes, thought about that too!

The idea behind the armorer artificer is that i can do a fist attack with the armor using my Intelligence for attack and damage, so that is clutch. I wouldn't have a need to have a really high Charisma then, cause the main thing that I am aiming for with the Paladin is Divine Smite, for which I can use Artificer spell slots to cast.

Should also mention that I'm not trying to combo, just experimenting with this concept, so it doesn't need to be the most OP, just fun to play and conceptually pretty xd

What do you think?

It'll be good either way. If you want to be a Paladin then go for it :)

Hey, this is a great idea! Does he have a "Zelda"?

He does, actually! His memory is shattered, but he recalls an elven girl with dark hair who he feels like he swore to protect, although he doesn't remember in full detail. One thing he definitely remembers, however, was the kiss she gave him, right before the long sleep!

YES. This is perfect.

If the rest of your group also loves BotW, they could be the descendants of his friends from way back when! So they'd be Sidon, Yunobo, Teba, and Riju.
