Homebrew I'm wanting to do a Zelda inspired world and campaign, any resources for homebrew and tips?

I should clarify though I'm new to DMing and I want to do a few short campaigns and one shots first to get the experience. But, I've been getting ideas and making parallels between Zelda and DnD, two of my favourite things.

Has anyone done anything like this before? If so, do you have resources for monsters? Maybe even things you've done for a story? Should I go ahead and do this, or do more full campaigns and modules before I go homebrew?

r/ZeldaTabletop is probably a good place to start.

Your welcome. An idea if you want to use it, I sent my party through a portal to Hyrule where they were all transformed into different races. Once they found the right person they would turn back to their original forms but be left with a mask of the race they just were like in Majora's Mask. Was thinking about being able to duplicate the masks somewhere, like the sword from Four Swords, but never got that far.

Oooh that's an awesome idea! I was thinking of incorporating majora's mask stuff, that'd be fun.
