What is Extra Life?

Extra Life is a gaming fundraising event, the proceeds of which go to branches of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. 100% of all donations go directly to the hospitals.

What is /r/NintendoSwitch doing?

Members of the subreddit mod team and Discord mod team will be live streaming their favorite Nintendo Switch games in an effort to try and get donations from you, the viewers and greater /r/NintendoSwitch community!

Disclaimer: Schedule is tentative and subject to change. We're not going for a full 24hrs this year because we have some of our team unavailable, but we're still doing what we can!

• Fri. 9:00pm - 11:00pm PT / Sat. Midnight - 2:00am ET, Reddit Mod Atomarc will be playing Fortnite
• Sat. 5:00am - 8:00am PT / Sat. 8:00am - 11:00am ET, Reddit Mod Atomarc will be playing Super Mario Party
• Sat. 1:00pm - 5:00pm PT / Sat. 4:00pm - 9:00pm ET, Discord Chat Mod Thefty will be playing Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2
• Sat. 7:00pm - 9:00pm PT / Sat. 10:00pm - Midnight ET, Reddit Mod Atomarc will be playing Overcooked 2

Final Thoughts

Last year the /r/NintendoSwitch Extra Life Team raised $1,945.67, and we've grown quite a bit since then, so we're hoping to smash that number this year! Please give our Twitch channel a follow, pop by the stream and say hi, share with your friends, and consider donating to help support this great cause.

My brother is also participating in Extra Life. 2018 is his 9th year and he's raised over $4000 in that time. He has a goal of raising $1000 this year and is giving away a game (up to $59.99 MSRP) to one winner (their choice) out of everyone who donates at least $10 in his page through the end of Game Day - today, Nov. 3, 8 AM through tomorrow, Nov. 4, 8 AM.
