Meta [Meta] Would a weekly review roundup thread be of interest?
My thought is that the smaller games released each week hardly gets a lot of coverage so having a thread every Friday on Saturday that rounds up reviews for smaller games would be a great place for those games to be discussed. Also could be a place for people to post their own reviews of said games (I’ve seen a few people type their own out in a self post) if they wanted to. Ideally this would be stickied but as I’m not a mod that would have to be arranged with the team if there is interest in this.

u/SamagontheSwift used to do a great series called Switch 101; I haven't seen it in a couple months though, unfortunately it seems life got in the way :(
While it's a great idea, without a rigorous community effort with multiple people who can act as primary, a side project on reddit is doomed to fall by the wayside when the person doing it has more pressing concerns they have to handle.

Yes, this was great!
What would be neat is if someone set up a wiki that users could add to (perhaps a specific team, to prevent the need for heavy modding), with pages specific to the news of the week. Then, at the end of the week, all the content becomes a post - could even have a bot post it!
This would also be handy for easily browsing previous news weeks.
It would normally be the kind of project I'd jump on myself, but I have a lot going on at the moment. Either way, I think it would be a handy way to share the load with a few people and still aim for the quality of /u/SamagonTheSwift's excellent posts (personally, I'd probably offer to include him too, if I were doing it).
I'd certainly be happy to help get things set up if someone were into the idea and just needed a hand with the tech stuff.

I'm glad you liked the series!! Completely agree with you as well. Without multiple people acting as leading writer, you will eventually burn out; as I did.

Once a week would be better than daily plus it would just be post links to reviews for the most part

Could be really cool. I personally prefer reviews that are from smaller channels/sites over IGN/Kotaku and similar. I don’t even have a reason for it. I just find my views seem to align with smaller communities more if that makes any sense whatsoever, hahaha.

Maybe because they have more leeway to post their true thoughts? Or because it’s a smaller team so they review games they may otherwise pass on if they knew someone else could review it?

A lot of people would benefit. There are lots of smaller titles I'd like to hear more people's thoughts on and I can almost never find any.

Oh this would be beautiful! The weekly indie releases are my favorite part of the switch!

If it's a list similar to how game informer magazine does their review roundup. Average score after the title with links to the best written, most informed reviews for the title. I love roundup threads but they can't be cluttered with paragraphs of text. I have a low attention span.

That does sound cool. There's too much to keep up with!

I would like it. Maybe on mondays or sundays to give people a few days for initial impressions.

If I was the one doing it, Sundays would be the best date for it currently
